Our Workshops

All of our school workshops at 360 Education are delivered by our director, Nath Fernandes who is a NCFE qualified Life Coach and are based upon our core values of boosting confidence and to promote understanding thus creating focal points for us to explore through creative activities. By combining these two values, it enables us to enrich participants knowledge through our school workshops whether it be boosting ones self-esteem or increasing their understanding of knife crime.

School Workshops that we offer:

Anti-Bullying– What forms the foundation of bullying? We explore coping strategies in addition to conflict resolution through interactive activities. This workshop also delves into the reasons causing the individual to bully. However, it is also important to discuss the possibility that the bully may also be ‘unaware’ of their actions. As a result of this workshop, students gain an understanding of why bullying and the impact that this may have upon an individual.

Business Skills – What does it take to run and maintain a successful business? During this workshop, we analyse various aspects of a business ranging from finance to marketing thus determining whether an idea is viable. However, it is also important for participants to remember that not all businesses succeed. In addition, students are able to develop a fuller understanding of the workings behind a business.

Cyberbullying – As we move into a digital world, it is imperative for students to learn how to stay safe online. As a result, we explore why an individual may decide to bully in this way in addition to exploring strategies aimed at, not only how to employ coping measures, but ultimately how to resolve conflicts that have arisen as a direct result. More importantly, it is important to also highlight the simple actions that one can take to protect themselves. Students are therefore equipped with a deeper understanding of the consequences of cyber-bullying.

– Disability Awareness – Despite inclusivity rising in the UK, the need for awareness remains. This workshop allows participants to experience various disabilities first-hand thus increasing their understanding in addition to boosting ones confidence. We also explore how common disability is within society. Students gain a deeper awareness of the challenges facing individuals with disabilities as a result. Also, students feel more comfortable during interaction

Knife Crime – We go beyond the laws and explore the impact that committing such offence can have upon an individual in addition to why peer pressure and psychology can influence ones decision. We also discuss why knife crime is becoming more prevalent in the UK. As a result of this workshop,, students are able to develop a fuller understanding of why knife crime occurs in society therefore increasing awareness.

Mental Health – Although childrens Mental Health has become centre stage in recent years, the impact can sometimes be underestimated. As a result, we share personal experiences to explore the underlying reasons in addition to discussing coping strategies for students to adopt. We also explore the impact that Mental Health may have throughout participants education journey. Consequently, students come away from this workshop feeling empowered and motivated to achieve.

Mind Mapping – Mind Mapping is a useful revision technique for students to adopt which has been proven to improve memory and creativity through visualisation and short keywords rather than using conventional methods. During a Mind Mapping workshop, we unravel the secrets to creating an effective Mind Map through hands on activities including keyword generation and prioritisation. As a result, participants feel more prepared for their studies.

Self-Esteem – We delve into various strategies based upon personal experience for participants to use in a variety of settings whether it be passing exams or social interaction. Students are therefore able to adopt such strategies to combat low self-esteem as a result. Also, schools are able to use the strategies learnt to significantly enhance learning.

Study Skills – During this workshop, we identify various learning styles that assist with exam preparation whether it be visual or kinaesthetic in order to assist students to determine which is the best method for them. We also delve into strategies that students can adopt to manage their time effectively in terms of revision or even during completing coursework. As a result, participants are able to ‘pick and choose’ the methods that work best for them thus leading to significantly better learning outcomes.
